Session Retainer & Payment
A session retainer (or full session fee, where applicable) is required at the time of booking to reserve your date and time. Sessions are not confirmed until payment is received.
All session retainers and session fees are non-refundable, as your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you and removed from availability.
Rescheduling Policy
Clients may reschedule one (1) time with a minimum of 48 hours notice, subject to photographer availability.
Reschedules requested with less than 48 hours notice may result in forfeiture of the session retainer.
Missed appointments (“no-shows”) are non-refundable and will require a new booking fee to reschedule.
Cancellations
If you choose to cancel your session with less than 48 hours notice for any reason, all session fees and retainers are forfeited.
If you must cancel your appointment with more than 48 hours notice, your session fee may be applied as a credit toward a future session, subject to photographer availability. Session fees are otherwise non-refundable.
Image Selection & Ordering
After your session, you will receive a proofing gallery with a limited ordering window. Images and products must be selected and purchased during that timeframe. Ordering instructions and timelines will be provided upon gallery delivery.
Proofing Gallery Availability
Proofing galleries are available for TWO WEEKS ONLY, as stated at the time of delivery. Orders and any included image credits must be used within the active gallery window.
Artistic Style & Editing
By booking, clients acknowledge familiarity with Jayne Michael Photography’s artistic style, posing direction, retouching approach, and color treatment.
Editing style is consistent and non-negotiable. Raw files are never released.
Client Responsibility
Clients are responsible for arriving on time, prepared, and styled for their session. Delays caused by the client may result in reduced shooting time.
Jayne Michael Photography is not responsible for uncooperative subjects, weather conditions, or circumstances beyond the photographer’s control.
Credit Card Processing Fees
A credit card processing fee is applied to all session fees paid by credit card. In the event a refund is issued at Jayne Michael Photography’s discretion, any credit card processing fees are non-refundable, as these charges are retained by the payment processor.
For clients who prefer to avoid processing fees, Zelle payments are accepted. Please contact the studio directly by phone to reserve your session using this payment method, as Zelle bookings are not available through this platform.
Order Accuracy
Clients are responsible for reviewing their order carefully before checkout. If an order is submitted incorrectly (for example, purchasing products without the corresponding digital image or selecting products linked to an image not purchased), Jayne Michael Photography will contact the client to resolve the issue before editing or production begins.
Editing & Production Timeline
Edited digital portraits have an approximate turnaround time of 3 weeks from the date of order completion.Prints and specialty products have an approximate production timeline of 2 weeks once edited images are completed.
If a client has received their edited digital gallery, their print and product order is considered in production.
Please note that turnaround times are estimates and may vary during peak seasons.
Image Use & Copyright
Jayne Michael Photography retains full copyright to all images. Clients receive personal-use rights only unless otherwise agreed in writing.
